Mark grew up hiking and exploring in the Adirondacks with his first climbing experience being on the indoor wall at Rock and River. He then progressed to trips throughout the West in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming and Washington as well as international trips to Peru and New Zealand. Mark has since returned to the Adirondacks to raise a family and make a living as a climbing guide and outdoor educator.
