The Best Group Site in the Region…
Rock and River’s outdoor Ice Park has become quite the sensation! Opened in 2007, this 250 foot long, 75 foot high ice climbing area has become extremely popular throughout the winter. Consisting of numerous ice climbs of all difficulty levels (with a good deal of beginner ice available), this site can hold 6-8 ropes at a time! The base is flat, the “approach” takes all of 30 seconds and the best news yet (especially for women) is that the area sports a brand new outhouse – from which one can even watch the climbers if they wish!

We may be biased but we truly believe this area is the best group site in the region. It’s exclusively ours and is reserved for Rock and River guided clients only. This means no more early morning rush, hoping to grab/share an overcrowded public climbing site…
For a more relaxed, better all-round climbing experience, we recommend trying our Ice Park – but please book early, the word’s definitely out!
Added Note – In 2023, we added a small warming hut at the climbing site…Complete with a wood stove, we now have the ability to crank that building up on cold days and afford climbers the ability to take a warm-up break when desired…
