The Most Popular Group Oriented Guide Service in the Region…
With the development of better crampons, easier to use ice tools and more efficient clothing systems, an increased number of organizations are finding ice climbing to be a tremendously rewarding, winter group activity. Choosing a professional guide service as well as a fun, appropriate teaching site is imperative. The area has several sites that work well for groups but these tend to be dangerously crowded, especially on weekends. Fortunately, we have developed the perfect group climbing site for the exclusive use of our own clientele – the area’s first and only Ice Climbing Park!

Because of our climbing park, experience, affordable rates and group lodging options, Rock and River has become the most popular group oriented guide service in the region. We’re proud of that title as we enjoy introducing the next generation of climbers to the proper fundamentals of safe, responsible ice climbing techniques.
We define a group as any collection of individuals that total four or more. We only take groups that form before they call us, that is, we do not put strangers together. Examples of groups are; friends, schools, outing clubs, businesses etc. We guide groups at all levels of top-roping and can tailor the session to the particular needs of the group. If needed, we provide all the gear. Lunches are not provided for group sessions…
